Hello friends, the festive season of Dussehra and Diwali must have kept all of you totally engaged with the Colors and Flavours typical of this time of the year. Amidst all the joy and activities let me today share with you some thoughts about peace that beckons from within.

Inner Peace is experienced only after turbulence, as calm descends after a thunderstorm. When the mind is in a state of whirlwind, peace is bound to be somewhere round the corner. However trained the mind may be, like your well-bred dog, there are times when it breaks free of all discipline, regulations taught and imposed over the years. It is in a state of freedom to flow free with emotions, to cry and indulge in pleasure of pain and grief. But then it has to come back home, again like a well-bred dog, back to its discipline, routine, and system. A trained mind knows intuitively, when it becomes overindulgent. And overindulgence is no freedom. It has some hidden shackles that tie you up to a bondage that can stifle all your feelings of peace.
There is nothing wrong in experiencing a little turmoil in the mind even when you know you have secured it in peacefulness and small things don’t disturb you anymore. It’s okay to let loose sometimes, even when you know you are a strongly adjusted person as far as your mind is concerned. Inner peace is to let go and let flow… let go of the extra baggage of your mind and let your mind flow with emotions,  keeping it ever young and inquisitive to explore new feelings, nuances in the old relationships. Each day, refill your cup with new elixir of life, letting go of the old, leftovers. Anything stagnated, be it water or emotion, starts rotting, smelling, infecting. Inner peace is not in holding back, but in letting go, allowing your vessel to empty to be refilled anew…
